There are a wide range of restaurants in and around the city of Lakeport California so if you are in the area and want some ideas where to dine out then here are a suggestions to help you decide. From traditional American favorites like steaks, ribs and burgers to fresh seafood and international cuisine like Asian or Italian there are a great choice of restaurants in the area to suit all tastes and preferences.
The Park Place Restaurant comes highly recommended by both locals and tourists alike and this can be found on Lakeport’s 3rd Street close to City Park and the shores of Clear Lake. This restaurant has been serving the local area for over twenty five years since it was established back in 1986 and has continued to go from strength to strength ever since thanks to the quality of food, excellent customer service and beautiful lakeside location. Diners here can experience some spectacular views of the lake and national park area including Mount Konocti while enjoying a great meal washed down by some of the excellent local wines or the cocktail of your choice. The waiting staff are friendly, helpful and very attentive to your every need while the menu offers plenty of choice and is very varied. Ranging from traditional meat and fish dishes to pastas, pizzas and salads, you can be sure to find something to suit even the fussiest member of the family. Portion sizes are very generous too and the prices are extremely reasonable – especially considering this restaurants premier location – however this is definitely worth reserving a table in advance as it is one of the busiest restaurants in the area for both lunch and dinner guests.
For lovers of seafood, then Bigg´s 155 Diner – which is situated on Lakeport’s Park Street – is a must whether you want a lunch time snack or a full evening meal. Their calamari is extremely popular but there are many other favorite fish dishes including traditional fish and chips, grilled salmon, their delicious thick and creamy clam chowder and shrimp salad as well as meat dishes such as New York steak, and penne chicken or you may want to combine the two and opt for their surf and turf special. Their deli-style sandwiches are another favorite and these include the tri-tip special with caramelized onions and salmon steak on freshly baked bread and served with fries. The diner also has a mouth-watering selection of deserts for those who have any room left after consuming the generous portions delivered from the main menu!
The Hong Kong Restaurant on Lakeport’s Main Street offers an excellent choice for lovers of Asian cuisine with its buffet extravaganza where guests can help themselves to a wide range of appetizers, mains and deserts. These include favorite Chinese dishes such as fried wonton, Chinese donuts, fried wanton, boneless spare ribs, steamed dumplings, Roast Pork Lo Mein, Singapore Chow, Teriyaki Steak, Shrimp Egg Foo Young and Chicken Fried Rice to name just a fraction of the many dishes available here. A buffet meal for two with drinks will not set you back any more than around $20 so the prices are very reasonable too.
